Back & Neck Pain
Neck pain and back pain, no matter what the origin, can be some of the most uncomfortable pain situations. Not every symptom to every problem is initially apparent which can make the cause more difficult to diagnose.
Your physician and your chiropractor will be in frequent communication during your treatment program. It is important to keep your care team all on the same page. In order to get to the cause of your neck and back pain, you will learn that not all symptoms feel like they are directly connected to the area that hurts.
Once you have had films and scans, your doctor and your chiropractor will have a complete vision for your recovery process. That vision will be slow to realize because you have to take it slow or you could easily compound your injury.
Back & Neck Pain Treatment Expectations
Treatment regimens for neck and back pain can include spinal adjustments to correct any vertebral dislocations, also known as subluxations, in place. You may also be given a massage treatment. Exercises, stretches, and physical therapy are also common treatments for most back & neck pain.
You will most likely be required to have more than one session, depending on the cause of your pain. Your chiropractor will need to slowly move your vertebrae back into place while adjusting for any inflammation that might be present.

Back & Neck Pain Frequently Asked Questions
Many patients see real progress after anywhere from one to four sessions. However, each case is different. It all depends on what is causing your pain.
Some conditions that can cause neck and back pain most frequently can include fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, trauma from an injury or accident, sciatica, arthritis, and osteoporosis.
While chiropractic care is natural and alternative medicine, if your medical doctor has put you on medication, you should not discontinue it until you have consulted with both your medical doctor and your chiropractor. Your chiropractor and medical doctor will work together to treat your conditions.
